DM Motors history

DM Motors Denmark A/S start

2008In 2008, DM Motors Danmark A/S was started as a collaboration with Dutchi Motors BV in the Netherlands. Dutchi Motors BV had been involved in the production and distribution of electric motors for more than 35 years. At the same time, the three co-owners of DM Motors had a combined experience of over 30 years in sales and consulting. The idea was to sell with direct delivery from the Dutch warehouse and only have a small warehouse in Denmark with small motors.

New strategy

2010After 2 years we had to change our strategy when Dutchi Motors BV was sold to another company in 2010. We started with direct import of all engines and expanded our warehouse, which meant that we had to expand with two warehouses. The last one is now finished and provides 500 extra pallet spaces. The three co-owners bought back the shares, so the company became 100% owned by Rasmus Lundsgaard Jensen, Keld Johannessen and Kim Christensen.

Received the Gazelle award from Børsen

2012The Danish business newspaper Børsen has identified Denmark's growth elite every year since 1995, and the gazelle has over time become part of the Danish language as a synonym for growing companies. In short, the definition of a gazelle is: a company that has had sustained growth in revenue or gross profit over the past four financial years, and which has more than doubled its revenue or gross profit in total during this period. The selection is carried out by the Greens Research Institute. The criteria are objective and based on data from Soliditet A/S.

Sales Department Shanghai, China

2015Dutchi opens a sales department in Shanghai, China. Here we can offer directly to our Chinese customers, but especially also to Danish companies that have moved their production there and who want the same high level of service and good cooperation that we offer to our customers in Denmark and Europe.

2016Dutchi Denmark A/S changes name to DM Motors A/S.

2024Following Keld Johannessen's wish to retire, Rasmus Lundsgaard Jensen has taken over 100% ownership.

DM Motors Moves

2024DM Motors is moving their primary activity from their first address - Hopballevej 60, 7100 Vejle. The new address is Vejlevej 10, 7000 Fredericia. The company's new main warehouse offers almost 5,000 square meters - with significant improvements in terms of location and infrastructure
