Modifications

We offer tailor-made modifications of electric motors to ensure optimal performance and durability. Our solutions include corrosion protection for harsh environments, installation of heaters to prevent condensation, and PT100 temperature sensors for precise monitoring. In addition, we can upgrade the motor’s IP rating for improved protection against dust and water.

Corrosion protection

Our motors can be modified to meet C4, C5 and CX corrosion protection standards. These standards are designed for applications exposed to chemical attack and salt spray, making them ideal for maritime and industrial environments. DM Motors uses advanced surface treatments that extend the life of the motors and ensure they remain reliable, even under the harshest conditions.

Heater

To ensure operational reliability at low temperatures, DM Motors offers built-in heating systems in our motors. The heater modification prevents freezing problems and ensures that the motors function optimally, even in cold environments. This is especially important for outdoor installations and in refrigeration and freezing plants, where temperature control is crucial for efficiency.

IP (Ingress Protection)

At DM Motors, we offer electric motors with different IP ratings that ensure optimal protection against dust and water. Our motors can be customized with IP certifications to suit your specific needs, whether you work in industrial environments or demanding outdoor applications. Choose the right IP rating to ensure reliable operation in even the most challenging conditions and minimize maintenance costs.

PT100

For applications where temperature monitoring is critical, DM Motors offers motors with PT100 temperature sensors. This modification provides accurate measurements of operating temperature, which is essential for optimizing performance and ensuring safety. The PT100 sensor provides real-time data so you can make informed decisions to extend motor life and improve reliability.

PTC Thermistors

PTC thermistors are used for protection against overheating by automatically detecting and limiting temperature increases in the motor. This function increases operational reliability and reduces the risk of damage to the motor windings.

Replacing bearings

DM Motors offers bearing replacement and adaptation, including insulated bearings, roller bearings, backstop bearings and angular contact bearings. These modifications can improve motor life, reduce the risk of damage from electrical currents and ensure more stable operation.

Rain cover

For extra protection in outdoor environments, our motors can be fitted with a rain cover. This reduces moisture ingress and protects the motor from the elements, ensuring a more reliable solution.

SPM nipples

For preventive maintenance, we offer the installation of SPM nipples in the front frame of the engine. This makes it possible to monitor bearing condition through vibration measurement and thus plan service in good time.

Bimetal (Klickson)

Bimetal safety switches (Klickson) provide thermal protection by automatically cutting off the power if the motor reaches a critical temperature. This protects the motor from overload and extends its life.

Insulation class

We offer motors with different insulation classes depending on the operating conditions. A higher insulation class provides better protection against temperature increases and electrical stress, which increases the durability of the motor.

Special voltage

Do you need a motor with a specific voltage? DM Motors offers custom voltages to match your needs, whether for industrial, marine or other specialty applications.

EMC Cable Gland

To minimize electromagnetic interference, we offer EMC-approved cable glands. These protect the motor from unwanted electrical influences and ensure stable operation in sensitive environments.
